VGCStocks lets you put your VGC knowledge to work. Trade shares of Pokémon, items, and players, and play the daily challenge. Grow your PokéPoints (PP) by reading the meta better than everyone else.
PokéPoints (PP)
PokéPoints are your in-app currency. Every new account starts with 500 PP. Log in each day to claim a 5 PP check-in bonus. Miss a day and you miss that day's bonus, with no catch-up, so it pays to keep showing up. The real way to grow your PP is to read the meta well: buy stocks low and sell high, nail tournament predictions, and keep coming back for the daily challenge.

Markets & trading
Pokémon Stocks
Every Pokémon is a tradeable stock. Its price is a blend of real Smogon ladder usage (the fundamental) and how hard players are buying or selling it. Buy shares to go long, hold as long as you like, and sell anytime to lock in profit or cut a loss. Your holdings are marked to market live.
Item Exchange
The same stock system, for held items like Booster Energy, Assault Vest, Covert Cloak and more, with real PokéAPI item sprites. Buy and sell item shares as the meta's tech choices shift.
Player Stocks
Buy and sell shares of VGC competitors, just like Pokémon. Each player has a performance rating built from their recent real placements on Limitless VGC. Strong finishes raise it (and the price), weak ones drag it down. Hold a rising star and sell once the field catches on.
Type Index Funds
Invest in a whole type at once. The Fire index tracks every listed fire type, weighted by usage, so it rises and falls with the type as a whole. Great when you're sure a type is about to have a moment but don't want to pick one Pokémon. You trade at the live index price; sells take a small 2% fee.
How trading works
Buy shares
Open Pokémon, Items, or Players, pick a ticker, set a quantity, and Buy. Buying nudges the price up; the more you buy, the more it moves.
Sell anytime
There's no expiry. Sell whenever the price has moved your way (or hasn't), and selling nudges the price back down. Your profit is the difference, minus the impact you create.
Read the baseline
Every market shows a data baseline from real stats: Pokémon and items from usage, players from a rating built off tournament placements. It's a reference point, not a target price. The market can trade above or below it for a while, so a discount isn't a guaranteed win and a premium isn't a guaranteed sell. Your job is to judge whether the gap is justified.
React to fresh data
When new Smogon usage drops or a tournament wraps, the baseline moves, and prices drift toward the new one over time rather than snapping to it. The real edge is calling where the meta is heading before the numbers catch up.
Watch the supply
Shares are limited, and the hotter the pick, the scarcer the stock. The top 10 Pokémon in the meta are ultra scarce (only a handful of shares exist, so owning one is a flex), mid picks are decently supplied, and fringe picks run so deep they basically never sell out. Each stock's supply bar shows how many exist and how many are already in players' hands. Once a stock sells out, no new shares can be bought from the market.
Bid in auctions
Anyone who owns shares can auction them off: the lot goes to the highest bidder when the clock runs out. Auctions live on each stock's page, and they're the way in when something is sold out. Selling out a whole stock and auctioning your shares is a legitimate power play.
Daily Showdown
Once a day, the Dailytab gives you two Pokémon and asks which has the higher usage, pulling only from outside the top 25, so it's a real read on the meta. Each correct pick banks 5 PP and serves up a fresh pair. One wrong answer ends the run and pays out your banked PP. Careful: leaving the page ends the run too, and you only get one shot per day, with a countdown showing when you can play again.
The Floor
The Floor is VGCStocks' community forum. Post threads about your market calls, tournament predictions, or general meta discussion. Threads are sorted by votes, so upvote analysis you agree with and downvote bad takes. You can reply to or delete your own comments, and posts are kept clean (no profanity or emoji).
