Terms of Service
By creating an account on VGCStocks you agree to the following. Keep it fair and keep it fun.
1. Keep it clean
No profanity, slurs, hate speech, or emoji in The Floor, thread titles, comments, polls, or anywhere else on the site. Posts are filtered, and repeat offenders can be banned.
2. No buying, selling, or trading accounts
Your account is yours alone. You may not buy, sell, rent, gift, or transfer an account, PokéPoints, stocks, or titles for real money or anything of value. Doing so is grounds for an immediate ban.
3. No abusing alt accounts
Extra accounts are fine, but don't use them to abuse the game. That means no farming PokéPoints across accounts, manipulating markets, upvoting your own posts, or padding the leaderboard. No bots or automated trading.
4. No exploits or cheating
Don't abuse bugs, pricing glitches, or the daily challenge. If you find an exploit, report it instead of using it. Attempting to manipulate prices through coordinated or fake activity is prohibited.
5. No automation
Scripts, macros, bots, auto-clickers, or any tool that trades, bids, posts, claims rewards, or does anything else on your account automatically are not allowed. Every action on VGCStocks must come from a human at the keyboard. Automated orders are rejected, and accounts caught automating can be banned. (The named traders you see tagged BOT are part of the site's own market engine, not player accounts.)
6. Be civil
Treat other traders with respect. No harassment, threats, impersonation, or spam. The Floor is a community, so keep it one worth being part of.
7. It's play money
PokéPoints have no real-world value and cannot be cashed out. VGCStocks is a game for fun; nothing here is financial advice or real trading. Data comes from public sources (Smogon, Limitless VGC, PokéAPI) and may be delayed or inaccurate.
8. Enforcement
Breaking these rules can result in PokéPoint removal, loss of titles, or a permanent ban at the moderators' discretion. These terms may be updated over time.
The legal bits
Who can use VGCStocks
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe one has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your password safe. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.
PokéPoints have no monetary value
PokéPoints, stocks, and titles are virtual, have no real-world or cash value, cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged for money or anything of value, and may be changed or reset at any time. VGCStocks is entertainment. It is not real trading, investing, a financial product, or gambling, and nothing here is financial advice.
Intellectual property
VGCStocks is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or the Pokémon Company. Pokémon and Pokémon character names are trademarks of Nintendo. Game data is used for informational and entertainment purposes only.
Third-party data
Usage, tournament, and sprite data come from public sources including Smogon, Limitless VGC, and PokéAPI. That data belongs to its respective owners and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
Players shown on the site
The player market lists real competitors using publicly available tournament results. If you are shown and want your name and data removed, email us using the removal button on the Players page. To protect players from malicious takedown requests, we confirm you are that player before removing anything; once verified we remove you and stop listing you.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, VGCStocks and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss of data or virtual items, arising from your use of the site.
Changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site, and may update these terms, at any time. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
